Note:
Like most specialty providers, I do not participate in any insurance plans. Paying out-of-pocket is a great option for people who want maximum privacy, confidentiality, and flexibility.
All sliding scale spots are currently full.
In some cases you may be eligible to use out-of-network insurance benefits. You will be responsible for paying for each session in full at time of appointment.
We can provide you with a superbill aka a receipt of services at the end of every month to take your insurance provider. They may reimburse for part or all of the session rate.
If you’re choosing to submit claims to your insurance provider, you will need to double verify with them, that they can reimburse you for outpatient mental health services. You can check with your provider to find out their reimbursement rate for individual therapy sessions. (Billing Code: Individual Therapy CPT 90834 or 90837 or Couples Therapy CPT 90847).
No, therapists can only provide services in the states they are licensed. Jacqueline is only licensed to work with residents of New Jersey, or Florida. Rachel is licensed to practice in Florida. You must live in one of these states in order for us to work together.
Before scheduling a therapy session, I do a free 15 minute intro call with all potential new clients. This gives us the chance to get to know each other. Here’s what you can expect:
If we both decide we’re a good fit after our intro call, we’ll schedule our first therapy appointment. I’ll send you a couple of quick forms to complete before our first session. I’ll also send you a link for our video calls that you can use every week if you are virtual.
As a Therapist, I have a collaborative, non-judgmental, and relatable approach that will make getting started a bit easier. During our first session or two, I’ll ask you a bunch of questions to get a better picture of your life journey and what makes you, you. Keep in mind we won’t dive into the deep end of the pool right away.
We will come up with goals together of what you hope to accomplish in therapy. During therapy you’ll have an opportunity to vent, gain perspective and new insights, learn to challenge your thoughts and hopefully be that much closer to living a fuller, happier life.
I am glad you asked! Couples Therapy starts with one joint session where we discuss your unique back history as a couple and what brings you to therapy. Then we speak to some long term goals for your relationship. It is also a great opportunity to see if I am a good fit for you.
If you decide I am your cup of tea we will schedule individual sessions, one for each person to share your own life’s journey and what you may be bringing to the relationship. Then it’s off to the races!
For the majority of clients, I suggest that we begin meeting once a week for the first 2-3 months. It is important to gain some momentum for your progress, as well as give us a chance to establish a therapeutic relationship and build rapport. Once we begin to meet some of your goals, we may decide it makes more sense to meet bi-weekly or less often.
I also have clients who choose to remain in therapy for much longer; they have seen improvements and still really enjoy having ongoing support and a place to process their thoughts and feelings each week.
