ABOUT

Hi, I am Jacqueline Frey

A lot of us fall into our lives or we wake up one day and wonder, “How did I get here?”or “I should be further along.”

Well I am here to help you live with intention, which includes making conscious choices to propel your life, go after your dream, or even get out of your own head. Sometimes we may have obstacles such as past trauma, negative thought patterns or unhealthy relationships. That is where I come in. As a therapist it is my job to help you move past those obstacles and reach your goals, or even help you identify new ones.

My Approach

With a wide variety of professional experience, I’m here to help you with an integrated approach using a combination of modalities (which are basically proven methods) and interventions that serve you best. I don’t exactly prescribed to the medical model that largely states you have a “disorder to be cured.” It is more complex than that and from my perspective more holistic. I have had years of training with self-esteem, trauma, depression, anxiety, life transitions and so much more. I am also not one of those therapists that only sits back and listens and says, “How does that make you feel?” I actively challenge your perspective and help you reframe thoughts so you will view the world differently gradually. This will lead you to change your daily interactions and behaviors. This will also create emotional shifts that will further support you as you continue to go after your goals.

Practice Specifics

While I am located in Neptune Beach, I also offer online counseling where you will be able to hear and see me just like you would in my office.

Experience

My past experience dictates a lot of my skill set and how I practice today. I worked at Wolfson’s Children’s Hospital helping parents in their darkest hour, Daniel Memorial adult mental health program, Wekiva Springs mental health and rehab hospital and CWC Coaching and Therapy practice rated third highest marriage counselors in Atlanta, Ga. My undergrad is from University of Florida, (Go Gators!), masters from Florida State and coaching certification from Coach Training Alliance. I am a licensed clinical therapist or LCSW.

What Drives Me…

“I absolutely love what I do and consistently try to improve my methods and understanding of how to better help my clients. There is nothing better then when I know I have helped you reach that “aha moment,” and you move towards a happier, fuller life.”

When I am not in the office my other passions include remodeling the home, creating art, all things to do with the beach, yoga, traveling, spending time with family and friends, the fur babies and enjoying special moments with my amazing and loving partner Scott.
